Rain washes out Mamelodi RPC runs chase

The Momentum Friendship Games under 15 cricket game between St Alban’s College and the Standard Bank Mamelodi Regional Performance Centre at the home of the Grey and Blue in Pretoria was called off just before the run chase of the visiting side due to bad weather. St Alban’s won the toss and electing to bat posting a huge total of 160 for the loss of three wickets before the interruption.
For the home side, K. Walker 49 (37) and G. Stanley 51 (42) combined for a fourth wicket 100-run partnership leading their side to a very competitive total. T. Rabalao from the RPC side finished his four overs with bowling figures of 1/13. The Momentum Friendship Games will now move to Alice (22 Feb 18) where the Standard Bank Alice RPC/Hub will play host to Selborne College in what promises to be a momentous day of school cricket.
