CSA’s RPCs and Hubs learning fast in Momentum Friendship Games

The idea that the gap is rapidly closing in the Momentum Friendship Games between Cricket South Africa’s (CSA) Hubs and Regional Performance Centres (RPCs) and traditional cricket schools was further highlighted this week when the Standard Bank Yorkshire RPC took on Northern Cape High in Galeshewe yesterday. Based in the Galeshewe Township, outside Kimberley, the Yorkshire RPC team became the first RPC/Hubs team to win a Momentum Friendship Game when they defeated Northern Cape High. The Friendship Games are essentially CSA and Momentum’s efforts at up-skilling the development Hubs and RPCs by getting them to play against traditional cricket schools, some of which have produced national as well as first-class players.
